North American League Open Speed Series
2000 Rules and Regulations

 

HORSE SHOW INFORMATION
Open to a limited number of USA Equestrian and CEF member shows applying for recognition to the North American League. Shows must apply for recognition at least 30 days prior to their scheduled show, on the official form, to be considered for a NAL Open Jumper Speed Series class. No fee is required.
Results must be postmarked, faxed or sent via e-mail within 10 days of the completion of the show.
Shows which fail to file timely results will not be awarded future dates.

SPECIFICATIONS & PRIZE MONEY
Recognized classes must be run under Table III or Table II, Sec.1. Minimum prize money of $3,000 must be awarded in each qualifying class. Points will be accrued by current NAL members as follows: Each dollar or fraction thereof of prize money won will equal one point. Riders will earn points for best placed horse.

YEAR-END FINALS
Finals will be scored under Table III. Formal Attire required.
NAL Open Jumper Speed Finals (presented by Baron Farms) offering at least $25,000, will be held during the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA. Approximately 30 riders will be accepted for the finals. Qualified riders may show any horse in the North American League Open Jumper Speed Final.

QUALIFYING PERIOD
All classes held at shows starting after the previous year’s qualifying period through shows starting on or before October 6 will be counted toward this year’s finals.

RIDER MEMBERSHIP
Riders need not be members of the NAL to compete in any qualifying classes, but only current members will accrue points towards year-end finals. Annual fee is $20 per rider.
