Ariat National Adult Medal

 

WHAT IS THE ARIAT NATIONAL ADULT MEDAL?

The Ariat National Adult Medal is a 3-foot equitation class.

HOW MAY A SHOW OFFER THIS MEDAL?

USA Equestrian or CEF Show managers apply to hold the class – at least 30 days before the show. Applications are available through the medal series office.  Show Application

WHERE ARE THE FINALS HELD?

The finals are held at the Capital Challenge Horse Show in Maryland, in October.

DOES A RIDER HAVE TO JOIN ANY ORGANIZATION?

Riders must be members of the USA Equestrian or Canadian Equestrian Federation (CEF) to compete in the class. No other membership is necessary.

WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS?

Open to all Amateur members of the USA Equestrian and/or CEF who are eligible to compete in the Adult Amateur Hunter Section at this show. A rider may not compete at the same horse show in any hunter or equitation class in which the jumps exceed three feet, three inches (3'3"). 

WHERE MAY I FIND A LIST OF SHOWS?

HOW MAY I GET A PRIZE LIST OR PREMIUM BOOK?

You must contact each show for a prize list, and entry information. This information is not available through the medal series office. 

HOW ARE POINTS CALCULATED?

Riders earn points based on the number of competitors. Click here for more information.

 IS THERE ONLY A NATIONAL STANDINGS?

National and Regional standings are maintained. Riders earn points in every show in which they compete (National points). They also earn points in each USA Equestrian zone (Regional points). Regional points are based on the location of the show -therefore a rider may earn points in different zones.  The total of ALL points are National Points. Each Zone has it’s own totals.

 WHAT WAS LAST YEARS’ POINT CUT-OFF?

“Last years points” are not relevant towards the current year. The Capital Challenge Horse Show will send invitations.
